PUBG Season 9 Drops Players Into Paramo, a Brand New Dynamic Map

Written By

PUBG Season Nine is going big, taking players to the highlands of South Africa in the brand new battleground "Paramo" later this month.

This new map not only adds a whole new environment for players to have to learn and discover, but it is also PUBG's very first dynamic map, with major landmarks changed between each map to make sure players never know exactly what they are up against. With a dangerous active volcano located nearby, streams of molten lava will also flow across the map, giving players a constantly changing and deadly obstacle to face.

Overall, Paramo is a far more hostile environment than anything that has come before in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Players who find themselves outside of the Blue Zone take more damage, and leaving the Play Zone can result in instant death if you stay too long. Due to the map's remote location, players will drop in by helicopter, and these choppers will continue to drop loot as the game progresses.

Season Nine brings other changes outside of the new map. A new Ranked Season kicks off with a new Ranked Solo queue, allowing players to battle against other solo players in Ranked Mode. A new season means a new Survivor Pass of course, bringing loads of Paramo-themed rewards to the game over the next two months.

PUBG Season 9 launches on Xbox One on 29th October 2020 - you can check out the video down below for some more details!
