Survival horror Fade to Silence will be launching in late-April, THQ Nordic and developer Black Forest Games have announced. Benefitting from a wealth of fine tuning thanks to some time in Early Access, both the mechanics and story have been refined for the release version of the game. Various new features like the Survival Handbook player journal will also feature, with info on locations, creatures, followers, and gameplay.

Fade to Silence will also include "the whole story" with revelations on how the apocalypse came about, where the infection came from, what happened to the family of protagonist Ash, and more. A brand-new tutorial also promises to make your first tentative steps into Fade to Silence's "unknown world" that little more welcoming, as survival in the post-apocalypse will be tough.

With Ash experiencing haunting vision dreams when he's resting that can be viewed in chronological order via the dream gallery, you'll also be able to bring yourself up to speed each time you return to the game. Fade to Silence launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 30th April 2019, priced $49.99/€49.99. Give the intro scene trailer a watch below.
